What is Industrial Skills Lab?
Industrial Skills Lab is an offline-first educational app focused on industrial instrumentation and control learning. It combines lessons, practice flows, calculators, simulators, interview preparation, mock tests, and a visual library.
Is the app available on Google Play?
Not yet. The public website is live, and the app is being prepared for Google Play internal testing after developer verification is completed.
Why is some content marked as data pending?
Some areas are intentionally shown as structured shells before approved local or user-provided content is added. This is especially true for the Field Operator shell.
Does the app collect personal information?
There is currently no personal account or login requirement. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config are disclosed in the Privacy Policy for technical diagnostics and app improvement foundations.
Does it require login?
No. The current launch scope does not require login or personal accounts.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Core learning content, practice surfaces, calculators, simulators, and local references are designed to remain useful offline.
Is this official OEM training?
No. Industrial Skills Lab is not official OEM training and should not be treated as a replacement for manufacturer material or site-approved documentation.
Can I use this instead of site procedures?
No. The app does not replace SOPs, PTW requirements, HSE rules, OEM manuals, engineering documents, or qualified supervision.
Can calculators be used for field work?
Calculators are educational learning aids only. Users must verify all values, assumptions, and outputs before real field use.
How do I report content corrections?
Send correction notes to support@industrialskillslab.com with enough detail to identify the topic, wording issue, or screen involved.
Can organizations request custom training later?
That may be explored later, but it is not part of the current public launch scope.
Is the app free?
Yes. Industrial Skills Lab is completely free with no in-app purchases in v1.0.0. We may introduce optional paid features in future versions, but core learning content will always remain free.
Is there an iOS version?
Not currently. Industrial Skills Lab is Android-only at this time. We are monitoring demand and may explore iOS development in the future if there is sufficient user interest.
How large is the app download?
The app is approximately 75–82 MB. The size reflects our approach: all learning content is stored locally on your device, allowing you to study offline without needing an internet connection.
What language is the content in?
All content is currently in English. We may explore additional languages in future updates based on user demand and community feedback.
Will my progress be saved if I reinstall?
Progress is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall and reinstall the app, your progress will be reset. Cloud backup and sync are not available in v1.0.0. If you need to keep your data, back up your device before uninstalling.
